Bio

Born and raised in Hagen, Germany, after her high school graduation

Christiane moved to Berlin to study Theatre Sciences, German Literature and Philosophy. During her studies she worked at Schauspielhaus Bochum, Co-Directed at Kammerspiele Neubrandenburg and wrote and directed her own work in the Off-Theatre in Berlin. She was an author for Style and the Family Tunes, writing about film, theatre, literature and art, and worked for the documentary filmmaker Harun Farocki. After moving into narrative fiction, Christiane decided to study a second time: filmmaking at Columbia University, NY. During her studies she worked for Quentin Tarantino among others. For a number of years she taught film practice and film theory in the UK. Christiane now teaches in Germany.
